DO I HAVE TO ENTER ALL STAGES?
Yes, but you do not necessarily have to complete all stages. If you miss a stage then you will become an unranked rider in the results but you are more than welcome to continue to participate in other stages as an unranked rider.
I AM BRINGING MY FAMILY/FRIENDS ALONG TO THE EVENT, ARE THEY ABLE TO VOLUNTEER IF THEY ARE NOT PARTICIPATING?
Yes – we encourage competitors’ family and friends to get involved throughout the week by volunteering. This is a great way of seeing some of Alice Springs and surrounds. We are a fun friendly bunch and welcome all helpers. Please click ‘Volunteers’ on the menu above and complete the details. Email [email protected] if you have any questions regarding volunteering.
Friends and family are also welcome at the official functions, however, please do purchase tickets for them to attend in the store when registering. Dinner tickets range from $50 – $60.
DO I NEED TO CARRY ANY COMPULSORY ITEMS FOR THE EVENT?
The following equipment MUST be carried with you for all stages of the event:
- Emergency safety blanket – this can be purchased in the store online when registering.
- A First Aid Kit comprising at least: 2 x crepe bandages, 2 x non-adhesive wound dressings, 6 x steri-strip wound closures, 1 x triangular bandage and a pair of surgical gloves.
- A limited number of First Aid Kits and safety blankets will be available for sale at Race Registration. Please pre-order these items via the merchandise shop to avoid disappointment, you will be able collect your pre-ordered merchandise at Race Registration.

Airport Shuttles.
Rapid Ascent recommend booking transfers to/from the airport in Alice Springs directly with Alice Silver Airport Shuttles. Riders can book the airport shuttle at anytime. Transport options are listed here.
