DO I HAVE TO ENTER ALL 4 STAGES?

Yes, riders may only enter all 4 stages. You cannot just do 1 or 2 stages (primarily due to logistical reasons)

HOW DO I BOOK AIRPORT TRANSFERS?

Rapid Ascent has engaged local business Alice Silver to conduct airport transfers. You can book airport transfers through Rapid Ascent when you enter, or via our merchandise store HERE and we will pass your details on to Alice Silver. Our price is the same as if you book direct with them.

I AM BRINGING MY FAMILY/FRIENDS ALONG TO THE EVENT, ARE THEY ABLE TO VOLUNTEER IF THEY ARE NOT PARTICIPATING?

Yes – we encourage competitor’s family/friends to get involved throughout the week by volunteering. This is a great way of seeing some great locations around Alice Springs. Please click ‘Volunteers‘ on the menu above and complete the details.

WHAT TYPE OF BIKE SHOULD I BRING?

The Gravel Muster is best suited to either a gravel bike or a hard tail mountain bike. We have a lot more details about bikes on the Equipment and Safety page here

DO I NEED TO CARRY ANY COMPULSORY ITEMS FOR THE EVENT?

The following equipment MUST be carried with you for all stages of the event:

  • First Aid kit (minimum contents: 2 x crepe bandages, 6 x wound closure strips, 1 x triangular bandage, 2 x non-stick wound dressing pads and a pair of surgical gloves). *
  • Safety Blanket / space blanket. *
  • A rear facing red flashing light that is operating for ALL stages
  • The course route downloaded onto either a bike computer or a mapping app on your phone that works when you are out of phone reception. (If using a phone we recommend either Ride with GPS, Gurumaps or Maps.ME).
